Braxton Boy

Was it fate that brought Addilynne to the little sea side town (or just a little, old book store). Whatever it was, her life was forever changed when she met Braxton, the town bad boy.

feels herself being drawn to him.

Excerpt from chapter 4:

"Help me?" He says and closes the space between us. He grabs onto my arm. My breath catches and I glance down at his surprisingly gentle fingers. "Addilynne, you couldn't have helped me. The Joe Boys wouldn't have eased up and wouldn't have cared that you're a girl. They would have thrown you up against the wall and beaten you right along side me."

He lets his hand slide the rest of the way down my arm, leaving a trail of fire behind it. He completely lets go and softens his voice with his next words, "If the Joe Boys are going to hurt anyone in this town, it shouldn't be you. It deserves to be me."
