While struggling to deal with his anger, feeling betrayed and useless, Genji gets assigned a new mission to show he can, in fact, follow Reyes' orders: he is to welcome a Rookie to Blackwatch and watch over him for his first days. Regardless of Genji's rudeness, the Rookie is determined to be kind to the cyborg. He even seems to worry for Genji's wellbeing; it is something Genji isn't used to, and his feelings about it contradict everything he thought he knew about himself. But someone else turns up to raid the ship, and Isabel comes face-to-face with Jamison Fawkes (AKA Junkrat) - who her father begged her to find before his death at the hands of the radiation explosion. Thrown out of the plane at tens of thousands of feet high, Isabell is too busy dealing with the explosive maniac to worry about the experiment which was her mission. But it turns out that experiment isn't just an experiment. It's a person. A person who has too much power to handle, and it's literally tearing them apart. Winston working desperately to find a way to contain her power, Tracer knowing almost exactly how she feels, Junkrat craving her explosive power, Reaper reveling in the death she could cause and Sombra desperate for the power levels, only Isabell can rescue Tayanna from the endless spiral of terror surrounding her. The Blackwatch has finally revealed themselves, and their leader, Lena Oxton, is out for blood. Meanwhile, Ameliè Lacroix of Overwatch must now cope with her husband's death, recently murdered in front of her own eyes by Oxton. A blood thirsty leader, and a heartbroken widow must now work with their teams to take each other down. Who will come out victorious? Who will accept their loved one's death? And who will be betrayed? (This fan fiction is an AU that follows the belief that Tracer created the Blackwatch and most of the Overwatch agents are now Blackwatch, and vise versa. And before I get flamed for it, I want to address this now: Yes, Tracer has been confirmed a lesbian so yes, I am using that part of her character in the story. I understand that many people reading this will have a problem homosexuality, but again, I just want to keep Tracer true to her character.
