The Horizon

World War III has struck the planet. No, the entire solar system. Wait no, another one too. Should it even be called a World War at this point? Anyways, with most of the Arctic Ocean cleared of glaciers and ice shelves, it's become ripe for spreading influence in Russia's eyes. They set their trade routes and close off all access to the ocean from the Atlantic. This broke a long time treaty which forbade countries from claiming international waters for their own.
The countless proxy wars in Africa, the rising tensions with the Syrian Civil War, and the Russian Military supporting an all-out offensive by Donbass into Ukraine would spark the powder keg into a World War.
City-States like ones in Mars, Titan, Europa, and in the Moon have declared themselves neutral, but gets invaded or pressured into war by both NATO and Russia anyway. Flurug, an Earth-like planet in a far away solar system would have to decide it's fate. This story is told from the perspective of a US Space Force section.
