Have you ever heard of a little girl, who's while life was turned against her in one day? Sure it has happened but it's much more rare in my case.
Try waking up in your comfortable king sized bed, top floor and penthouse in the pack house. You has one of the best dreams about finding your mate when your older. Your smiling and rushing to the end of the hall to see your loving parents the Alpha and Luna of the pack. You bust into their room, and jump on their bed to wake them up. You and your parents are happy, smiling and laughing. Your tackling daddy because mommy is pregnant with the future Alpha of the pack. Everything is perfect.
Now imagine you wake up to screaming. Your confused 11 year old mind doesn't understand what is going on. The pack house is burning from the bottom up. As you try to make since of everything that is happening as you exit your room, a random pack member picks you up and takes you away from the burning house. You watch as the house collapses right as you exit. There is fighting all around you. You see mom a few feet to your left, cold and lifeless. You search for your dad, only to see him kill the last rough. He finds you in the crowd , pain and weakness closes through his body, the effects of loosing your mate. He stares at you with pure sorrow as he runs up to you. As he's running, only a few feet from where you stand he collapses. You run to him, only to hear his last words of "Take care and lead the pack, Skylar. I love you."
That's what I went through.
