It's a dark, rainy night in the technologically and militarily empowered Atlas kingdom of Remnant. In the forests, a lone armoured car slides along the narrow, sidewinding roads. It belongs to a terrorist organization known as the White Fang, and it's headed for their base. The occupants of the van believe they have kidnapped a 17-year-old boy, whose bargain will yield them wealth and power.
They are wrong.
They are being hunted.

The boy is Sigbjorn Phoenix; trained to fight and kill monsters known as the creatures of Grimm in addition to human threats since the age of 8, and he packs a serious punch with his hard-light projection powers. His teammates and brothers-in-arms are Ross Auburn, Diamond Jet and Steele Snow.
Ross is the tank and the glue of the team. Nothing is more important to him than his teammates, which is why he watches over them with his sniper rifle but can get VERY hands-on if the situation arises.
Diamond is the scout; the shadow who strikes out of nowhere and disappears as swiftly. But contrary to his combat role, he is also the comic relief of the team, keeping their moods lifted in tough situations.
Steele Snow is the human encyclopedia and detective, pushing his teammates to success with his exponential knowledge and fearsome strategic know-how.

But now their old mentor, Headmaster Ozpin, has called upon them to return to Beacon Academy. And a few days later, they find out that all is not well.
They're being targeted, and Steele realizes that something terrible is being carried out right under everyone's noses.
