Juvia Lockser has a very fragile body. She gets sick nearly every single month. Her mom and dad try to in their very best to have her treated from the best doctors and hospitals around. Her family can afford it, but it pains them since she can easily get sick again. Gray Fullbuster is a bit of bad boy. He doesn't necessarily follow the rules. He lives alone after his family were murdered by an unknown gang for money. He thinks that he'll always be alone, and doesn't try to look for the good in life that much, because to him it was always his parents. One day they meet and after seeing the way Gray is, Juvia wants to help him. So she puts aside her illness and doesn't tell him. She's determined to show him that he can be happy again.
