The world has changed to a dark, old  way. WWIII has passed. People have to fight against Earth to survive. Astrid, a sixteen year old orphan who lives under the care of Miss Jacobi, comes to a drastic decision when Benedikt, an eighteen year old boy who she has fallen in love with, is taken away. Astrid comes to the conclusion that she cannot live without knowing if he is dead or alive. She must go and find him, or she will end up killing herself. Benedikt is THE one, and she will go the extra mile to find him- dead or alive.
