Do you remember? Remember when it felt like you meant a lot to someone? When they made you feel like you belonged in their life? Remember when you thought you were loved? They were never yours, but it still hurts. It hurts when they leave. And now they're back. That person is back, after disappearing for weeks. What do you do when they realize they've made a terrible mistake is leaving you; and they want to apologize? What happens when they want to start over? Are you willing to be theirs again? What would have happened if none of it ever happened in the first place?

I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue. She then takes a shaky breath and finally looks up. Eyes locking with mine " do you even remember how you got it?" Her question hits me like a slap. I open my mouth, then close it, my brows furrowing as I force my brain to rewind. How did I get it? Nothing. Not a single clear memory. She steps closer, her voice trembling, but the edge of anger sharpening her words. "Or when? Or where? Or for what reason? Or what it even means?!" I flinch at her tone, but I can't answer her. I try. God, I try.. I look down at the sand beneath my feet, forcing myself to dig through every memory, every hazy night out, every stupid decision I might've made-but nothing. Not a single moment of how I got it surfaced. I let out a frustrated breath and rake a hand through my hair, feeling the panic rise like bile in my throat. When I finally lift my head to speak, Ashley's already staring at me, and I can tell-she knows my answer before I say a word. Well, what would have made me leave my one month daughter in front of the orphanage door , as her mother what pushed me to the extent of leaving her,not being there to see her first sit,crawl,walk ,hear her say her first words hoping it would be related to me, hear her call out to me when she cried, stay up at night with her singing some lullaby,read her some stories, tell her that there was a prince charming who would love her as her father loved me but where was I , staying far away from her, God knows how terrible a mother I was leaving her without even looking back. "I love you Treasure, always and forever, I'm sorry darling, I'm really sorry", I said as I cried telling myself do I really have to do this then I left without turning back hoping she would never hate me,she would remember how much I love her.Complete
