I tucked a loose strand of my blond hair back into my baseball cap and surveyed the oddly empty train station around me. While adjusting my backpacks straps I wondered who out these strangers would help me if I needed it, and which one was the one I dreaded. This wasn't anything new to me.

When they sat me up on the couch my ears were muffled as if I had cotton balls in my ears. I tried saying something, but no words came out. No breath came from my mouth, except for some drool. They laid me down and put a nice soft blanket on me. They walked away for a second before coming back with a glass of water. They tried helping me drink from the glass, but I just laid there. I could hear my breathing so clearly, it blocked everything else out. I could also hear my heart beating, and every time it felt like thumping in my ear.
