This was due to the fact that Chief Anthony Enahoro of the Action group suggested a motion that Nigeria should be granted self government. The leader of the Northern people's congress (NPC) Sir Ahmadu Belle moved a counter motion that it should be granted as soon practiciable. This caused
disagreement between the two parties................
