- Godless, strange, black and female, Judea Harp is an outcast in her religious southern family in 1960’s Alabama. She dreamed of equality not only for her race but for her sex. Frustrated with her life, Judea decides to live without restraint. She protests her religious opposition, racial views and feminist ideals upon her community. She is further tormented by troubled Jonah Kissinger, the son of Grand Dragon, Forest Kissinger whens she integrates into Chelsea Hewitt High School.-
