Vanessa was once in the Maze. She was the first girl in the Maze before Teresa. She was a runner working long side with Minho. She close with all the boys. They considered Vanessa they sister. Vanessa considered the boys her brothers. One day when she went to the Maze with one of her brother, Minho. When the gates where closing only Minho made it out. When they went back to trace her tracks her steps. They found nothing. They were convinced that she died. That a Griever killed her. After a week of nothing, they accept and mourned her death.
