It is widely known that Anakin Skywalker was said to be the chosen one, then he turned against the Jedi and joined the Sith. But did he really?

What if being the chosen one didn't mean to bring balance to the force? 
What if it meant being able to see clearly? 
What if it meant to know both sides? 
What if being the chosen one meant to 'be' the balance!
