There is a retained boy in school when the freshman, Skylar comes. Since the only available seat is beside him, Skylar sits there. As the days go by, the develop a platonic relationship. There's something weird about their relationship though. They've shared more kisses than any friends ever had...
But that's not what the story is about. The story is about how this retained guy became Skylar's first love and also how Skylar had thought it wasn't really important. Not until he was told that this guy that he'd come to love was going to die because of tuberculosis.

I just don't want to get banned, so I'm saying that these characters are already 18, but they also have their 18th birthdays near the end of the book. I'm just being lazy to be honest. It's not gonna affect the book that much, just ignore it when they say in the early chapters that they are already adults or already 18. That shit doesn't matter. The quality of my writing in this book is pretty mid by the way. I'm a teenage boy that listens to 21 Savage, I feel like expectations shouldn't be high. I don't have writing skills the way many other writers on this site do, so don't expect some Shakespeare type shit. The characters in this book are similar to each other too.
