This is the first book I've written so please give it a chance. ====================================================================================Two people Two different lives One dream ------------------------ Clea is an eighteen year old girl. She's had a rough life. Her mom is always drunk and passed out on the couch. Her dad is never really home and when he is , there's a string of women entering and leaving the house with him. She had to get a job at the age of 14 to pay the bills, buy food, and keep her sister in school; because of this she never had time to make friends. She starts dreaming of this strange guy that she has never met before. After an unfortunate night she gets custody of her sister and moves across the country with the money she has been saving up. /////////////////////// Gabriel is a nineteen year old guy. He lives a normal life. He has loving parents that take care of him. He goes to school and has a handful of friends. He doesn't play a sport, he's not popular or rich, he doesn't have a girlfriend, and he doesn't have a troubling past. He's just, as some would put it...ordinary. Well as ordinary as one can be when they have the job he has. No one knows what job he has, only him. Lets just say his job is very risky. One night after a long night of hard work he starts dreaming of a girl he never met. He doesn't know her, so why is he dreaming of her? What do these dream mean? What does it mean when one day he's walking to school and he bumps into her? What does her sudden appearance in town mean for him? What does meeting the guy she's been dreaming of mean for Clea?

For 17-year-old high school senior Evan Brooks, life could be better. He's a social outcast at school, stuck in a rural Alabama small town he never wanted to move to, and he's got a secret he's desperately trying to keep: he's gay. When he embarks on a weekend vacation to the Florida panhandle with his hypermasculine brother, homophobic stepdad, and aloof mother, none of them can anticipate how much a simple 3-day trip will change their lives forever... **2025 Update: Hi! This was my very first attempt at crafting an entire story from scratch all the way back in 2020, and I'd like to think my writing has since improved. I've started working on a big rewrite project, so stay tuned for a newly enhanced story! Please visit the last chapter (2025 Rewrite Info/Updates) for more details. In the meantime, the original story will remain here in full - just know that I know some parts of it are cringe lol. I hope you still enjoy it though! :) Some details have changed between this story and Road to Rockdale in anticipation of the rewrite, so please excuse some inconsistencies if you're coming from that story. I promise everything will line up eventually! CONTENT WARNING/TRIGGERS: Please note that this story contains very strong language at times and some mature themes. Some characters face emotional abuse. There is also a small amount of physical abuse, but it is mostly implied apart from one scene which is not extremely graphic. Some characters are homophobic, and a slur is used a handful of times.
