Is It Love?
"Are you okay darling?" Reas soft voice echoed through my phone. "I'm okay, I just-" I stop suddenly. I don't want to ruin this, I might just feel like this because she's my best friend. Or it might be my drunk and empty brain tricking me. "You what?" She sounds worried, I don't want to worry her. "I just don't want to live without you, you make me feel safe. Thank you for always being here." I tried to word it in the most friendly way possible, I probably failed. "I won't ever leave." Her words brought a wave of relief, but I can't help the little part of me that thinks that's a lie. Locked In
You don't believe me anyways. You don't see me throwing away my inhibitions or filling up my online shopping cart. You don't see me diving into new life goals and careers and areas of study. You don't see my cry to myself in the car when my chest sinks in and my head gets crushed in a vice. You don't feel the panic in my stomach whenever I must make human contact. And you sure don't see how hard I try. How I wake up every morning and apply my mask. My work mask- to conceal all of this. But.... It's been the same mask for many years And my mask is wearing thin. My sadness, my anger, my paranoia and grand euphoria are trying to become a part of your world too. A world where it's not welcome. A world where it's not understood, where it's frowned upon.Complete
The times I stayed up til 1:00 am
My life did go to shit. Triggers: My life depression has mentions of suicidal thought, cutting, and other things related to death. It's also cringe 2018 teen stuff. If you don't like these topics, don't read this book of my experience with depression. Look for another book. Highest rank: #3 in acryforhelp. It mattered when I was younger :)Complete
