Hopes in the Dust (NaNoWriMo Novel)

A legend from long ago speaks of a time when magic lived in the world, but then a power-hungry witch stole it from right under the gods' noses. Most believe it to be a myth, but not Eryka, princess of Altos. Her dream is to find the witch and restore magic to the land, but being a princess doesn't allow for journeys far from home. That all changes when she saves a stranger from being hurt or even killed, who gives her the courage to leave the palace and begin her quest.
Feng keeps to the shadows-it's the way of his guild. When he is ordered to kill the princess, he doesn't think twice, but when he finds himself on a journey with her things get complicated.
In a land where beasts prowl alongside humans, witches hide in places no one will ever find, and gods can be found with the right tools, this novel packs a punch in the fantasy world.
