All Jack Whites had ever known was a life of parties, popularity, confidence, and of course, soccer.

Until it was all stripped away from him.

Moving to Harborsville, a small town on the California coast, was not the highlight by any means, of Jack's life. Small town, even smaller population, and an even worse soccer league.

His father said it was a good start. A clean slate.

But when the past clings onto every aspect of your life, can you really ever escape it?

Kaitlyn Evans was the kind of girl you would never want to mess with.

She survived day by day, learning to take life step by step.

Yet she walked the halls of Harborville High School with a confident smile and her head held high.

She was the kind of girl who never let her emotions show.

And sometimes, that was good when you were hiding so much.

•••

Together, they collided and clashed.

They were the perfect catastrophe.

Maybe some fires were meant to burn brighter then others.
