I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."

It was Friday night or Saturday morning I think. But I was was awoken by some snoring. It was loud. I thought it was my broken alarm clock that made a deep alarm but when I opened my eyes I froze. Next to me I saw a huge Black thing that was furry and had huge crooked sticks pointing to the other side. It took up the whole other side of my room. I quietly shuffled out of my bed, put my foot on the carpet and tried not to make noise. My door was closed so I tried to open it but it made a creak. There were two neon green lights glowing. At me. The creature then switched positions and stood up which made move backwards. It moved closer. There was no more room. I fell to the floor. It came to my face.

And there I stood, with my mouth wide open, my hands shaking, and my legs frozen. My boss looks up from his victim that is laying dead at his feet before wiping his bloodied hands on his shirt. As he saunters over to me, with a devilish hint in his eyes, all I could think about was how freaking pissed I was for my own body betraying my mind when it told me to run. I take a deep breath and close my eyes as he reaches his red stained hands towards my face, knowing this could be my last moment on Earth. Bracing myself for death to happen upon me, I clench my eyes shut tighter and curse myself for not being more brave. You might be wondering how I've ended up in this situation. Well, it all started 6 months ago, when I met the gorgeous stranger who now is holding my fate in his hands....
