This book follows the storyline and continues after the end of Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
When Hae Soo wakes up from her year-long coma, she is absolutely devastated when she realizes that she had left So and her daughter behind. Hae Soo has many unanswered questions and is determined to find a way to go back to Goryeo.
However, when she is given a chance to go back to Goryeo, she will yet again- forget her memory. She will not be known as Hae Soo anymore but as Young Sung, the youngest daughter of a rich merchant living in the outskirts of Goryeo. She jumps at the opportunity and is taken back into time as she wakes up after falling into a river yet again, clueless and having lost her memory.
Despite years after Hae Soo's passing, Wang So is far from getting over her. He finds himself suffocated and unable to function without her. He makes himself busy with the affairs of the state and try his best to focus on Goryeo. When Ji Mong, the astrologer comes running back to the palace, declaring that Hae Soo's star has returned and that she is back in Goryeo, Wang So immediately goes out to search for her.
Wang So, determined to find her, searches the whole Goryeo for Hae Soo just to find her but with Hae Soo's loss of memory and with many still desperately after the throne, will both Hae Soo and Wang So reunite and fi nd their happy ever after?
