Five years after the Zombie-like Infiltrator Virus wiped out most of the world's population Morgan Jones, a grizzled mercenary, has been hired to transport Alexa Williams, a young girl, across the ruined country of America. His job is to get her to a settlement in California called Eden, from Boston in one year's time, otherwise no entry for him, along the way they meet up with James Miles and his band of survivors, who are also going to Eden. And they also meet Jane, who may just be the cure for the virus. 

So, will they be able to make it before the Deadline? Or will Morgan's one year run out?
