Lucy and her mom got into an accident and only one got out alive Jude couldn't stand how Lucy looked so much like her mom. So he gave her up for adoption and didn't want anything to do with her. But Lucy didn't know what and why her dad would just give her up because that was private information. So Lucy goes to an orphanage and she is bullied because she came from a rich house but no one believes her story. They think that she took everything for granted so Lucy would go into foster care for a little bit but ends up in the orphanage again. Soon Lucy applies for a high ranking high school that only rich kids get into and she gets accepted into FairyTail High. She goes into foster care by a mans name Jose so she can get a 4 year scholarship for college. But Jose is not a great care taker so Lucy avoids Jose at all cost.

Nastu get drunk and the evil ship maker Mira decided that Lucy would take him home. Lucy took Nastu to her home because he lives far away and she was tired herself.
