Darkness surrounds us except for the light that the moon offers, seeping in the glass windows of the room. My crying subsides as it was replaced by quiet hiccups as I clutched his shirt, his warmth brings comfort to my tired body. His arms pulled me closer as he pushed my head in the crook of his neck while his hand softly brushes my hair.
"I-I hurt you, Sy. I broke your heart. Why won't you let me go?'' I hiccuped quietly as another tear left my eye. I'm too tired. I'm too exhausted. Why can't he just let me go?
He hummed slightly as his hand brushed away the tear and hugged me in tight embrace. I felt his head rest against the crown of my head, rubbing my back comfortingly. Drowsiness came as minutes passed, maybe it's because of my exhaustion or the way his fingers softly played with my hair or just because of his warmth that brings comfort.
I don't know how many minutes passed with us in this position , contented in each other's arms. My eyelids keeps on fluttering close as I try to keep my eyes open, still waiting for his answer. I don't know when but I just surrendered as I let the darkness consume myself but not before I hear Sylas mumbled.
"Because you're mine, rosa. Even if you hurt me a million times, I won't ever let you go. I will never let you go because you're still in my heart. What's mine will be mine forever. And you just happened to be mine."
