Alessandro Calastri got started in the restaurant business with some help from an uncle, who had already been working in the industry for a long time. Even as he was getting his start in an upscale French restaurant, he was learning all about the business at the International Culinary Center, where he studied everything from food preparation to restaurant management. Today he is the Assistant General Manager at a restaurant in Greenwich Village. He says that one of the things he most enjoys about his work is that even though he has a lot of experience, he seems to learn something new about his work every day.All Rights Reserved
