As usual jack was with Jamie and his friends having a snow day and bringing fun to the children. While leaving to go back to North's workshop Jack is captured by Pitch. While being Pitches prisoner Jack has to deal with horrible nightmares of his fears. Not just that he has to deal with Pitches cruel words. But Jack comes to realize his true fears and that Pitch might not be that bad of a guy to be honest after being with him. 

Can the Guardians rescue Jack?

Will Jack escape from Pitches hands?

Can Jack overcome his fears?

Will Pitch give up on his revenge? 

Can a friendship form between Jack and Pitch?

Will they be able to forget the past and be a family?

If he didn't learn how to handle hardships and what it's like being a human in that time frame, he would die. Jack soon meets an unexpected rescuer who takes him in and cares for him. Not only is he fighting against time, but the Boogyman decides to make Jack a target. Will he learn his lesson? Or will he die in 3 months time? If he is to survive, what will happen next? What will happen to Pitch? **This book is not all light hearted, there are serious topics included in it.**
