I watch helplessly as my only friend, Liam, walks towards the robots, sacrificing himself for me. This isn't right, is all that I'm thinking. All those nights we laughed underneath the stars, joking around and making fun of our class that bullied us, calling us a couple and telling us to get a room already.

                  Now I'm reliving it all.

                       •••••••••••••••••••••••

All Sarah wanted was to blend in during high school. But with her clumsiness and speech impediment, it was near impossible to stick to the shadows. Especially when you trip and fall into everyone's line of sight.
So one day after she ran into Marlene, the most popular girl in high school, and accidentally spilled her precious Starbucks all over her, she becomes the victim to some of the worst bullying her high school has ever seen. She is all alone. Until Liam.
The popular jock usually stayed in the shadows until someone took it too far. But when he'd decided enough was enough, he was thrown under the bus too, and so Sarah and him became fast friends, enduring high school together.
Until one day when the two were watching the news after school and saw it. The robots terrorizing New York after having escaped from government labs and, being intelligent, they made clones of themselves. They were not friendly.
This is the story of how one powerful friendship can change the world. Literally.

No one sees her. No one knows her. Alyssa Williams is the girl who fades into the background, the one who slips through the hallways unnoticed. She wears her black hoodie like a shield, her face hidden in the shadows, always on the edge of the crowd. She doesn't want to be seen. She doesn't want to be known. Because if anyone were to truly look, they'd see the fear in her eyes, the bruises that don't heal, and the story she's terrified of telling. Her life is a quiet war she fights every day-against her father's fists, against the memories that threaten to consume her, and against the world that's turned its back on her. She's learned to survive in the silence, to hide from the chaos that swirls around her. But when she decides she's had enough, and tries to run away from the nightmare that is her home, she finds herself crashing headfirst into something-or rather, someone-who might be even more dangerous than what she's running from. Dylan Scott. The bad boy. The bully. The one everyone stays away from. His presence is a storm, and his reputation is as dark as the night. He has a group of friends who don't question his actions, a life filled with secrets, and a world where no one dares to get too close. Everyone warns Alyssa about him, but she's already seen the worst the world has to offer. So when their paths collide, she's not sure what to expect. Will Dylan help her escape the hellhole she calls home-or will he drag her back into it? The truth is, Dylan Scott is hiding as much as Alyssa. He's trapped in his own battle, with his own demons, and just like her, he's been running from something for far too long. But when his and Alyssa's lives intersect, everything begins to unravel. The walls they've built around themselves begin to crack, and neither of them can ignore the pull between them. The question is: will they be able to save each other, or will they destroy each other in the process?

I put on a show only for him in front of hundreds of people. I bring one hand up to my hair flicking them to the other side, trailing that hand down to my sternum and then my boob as I keep swaying my hips from to side, bending my knees as I lower myself a bit to the ground before sharply standing up again and slowly spinning around, circling my hips. I run my hands through the back of my hair before nailing my gaze on his eyes, slowly walking up to him. I watch him as he wets his lips before biting his plumb bottom one, eyes trailing up my body. Once I reach him, I wrap my arms around his neck and run my fingers through his hair as I press my body up against his. His hands shoot out to grab me from my lower waist, pulling me even closer to him as he pushes a leg between mine, staring into my eyes. I turn my head to the side and brush my lips against his ear before licking and biting his earlobe the same way I did at the party before whispering a few words he was dying to hear. "Take me back to your place." ---------- Theo is a 20-year-old university student with a bad temper. Letting go of the past can be a difficult thing to do but a much-needed one to move on. Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. She felt she had no purpose in life. Until her sophomore year when she fell in love with Liam, the guy every girl wanted; the guy every dude wanted to be. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. "Hold on your bow tie..." I trailed of as I stepped closer to him, and he straightened so that I could do whatever it is I wanted to, as he looked at me in confusion. Liam's eyes were looking at me intently, and I couldn't seem to look away, as my hands trailed down stopping as it reached his chest. "Your bow tie was tilted to the right." I said in a whisper, as he looked down at my lips as those words came out of my mouth. "Thank you." He said back, his voice had gone an octave lower as he said those two words.
