A story based off of true events. Gerard goes missing, leaving his band mates and a cryptic message behind. The boys are devastated and struggle to deal with his disappearance and potential loss. What did his message mean? Why would he just leave? Was it for his own benefit, or for the benefit of those he loves? Will the band mates be able to find him before it's too late? Will Gerard be able to find himself before its too late? (frerard themes but not a romance)

Don't Look Down
Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
