Love, Literature, and the Linebacker

36 parts Complete Mature

Lucy Bennett is a self-proclaimed bookworm who's spent most of her college years hiding in the comfort of classic novels and the quiet solitude of the library. In the pages of the books she reads, she finds strength and escape, avoiding the chaos of real life--until Dylan Sharpe, the star linebacker, walks into her world and turns everything upside down. Their connection is instant, but it doesn't come without complications. Dylan is focused on one thing: going pro. With scouts watching his every move, the pressure to perform has never been greater. But as his relationship with Lucy deepens, Dylan finds himself torn between his football dreams and his growing love for the girl who sees beyond his jersey. Lucy, on the other hand, is faced with her own fears of being left behind, unsure if she's ready to follow Dylan into an uncertain future that could take him far away from her. As their love story unfolds, Lucy struggles with the idea of leaving behind the world she's always known for a life that feels like it belongs in someone else's book. She's not a fighter like Scarlett O'Hara or a force of nature like Catherine Earnshaw--at least, she doesn't think so. But with every moment spent in Dylan's arms, Lucy must decide: is she willing to fight for a love that seems destined to pull them apart, or is she destined to let go?
