Out of Control

''Zia, Zia, mía... come out and play," his cruel sick voice sent shivers through my body, the kind of uncomfortable shiver you get when nails scratch a chalk board. I knew he was smiling. I could feel the sick pleasure he got from torturing me, from scaring me to death. He was the hunter and I was his weak prey. He was going to get me, and God only knew the horrors that awaited me when he found me.

I was hiding, crouching behind a big old dusty tv with huge antennas that was on the floor in his basement, along with a huge big mess of other old things that would make it look like a hoarder's dream. But this was not a dream. This was an absolute nightmare.

I could hear his footsteps slowly approaching, he was getting closer and closer. I desperately tried to control my frantic breathing so he wouldn't hear me. My heart was beating 100 miles per hour in my chest. Tears were forming in my eyes and beginning to spill out and travel slowly down my face. I was terrified. I knew this was it. This was the end of my life. This crazy sick bastard, he was going to take my life from me.

"I'm disappointed in you my Zia, you know if you just come out and have a bit of fun with me, maybe this won't be so difficult for you in the end..." I could hear the amusement and excitement in his sadistic voice. He was very close to me, his footsteps were too close. I didn't dare move to try to see where he was. I knew at this point, if I moved, he would see me, and it would all be over. Suddenly, his footsteps stopped. My breathing stopped at that same moment. I closed my eyes tightly and balled my hands into fists covering my mouth for fear of what was about to happen next.

I could hear breathing next to my face, his breath on my skin. Oh god.... "I found you, my dear." I opened my eyes to see his evil brown eyes burning into mine. The next thing I knew, I saw his hand raise inches to my head, and felt impact. I fell into deep blackness.
