When Sébastian and Émilie are told they will be evacuated to the French countryside to live with their grandparents while the war obliterates their home town, they aren't sure how to react.  Then their train is stopped quite literally in its tracks by German soldiers leaving them with a decision they will have to make if they manage to escape.  Will they continue their journey to the country or will they try and pursue they father who is fighting against German forces elsewhere?
