Synopsis:
Merica Adams has always preferred the company of animals to humans. Animals love unconditionally, they can't betray you and can't abuse you. She has had her fair share of heartache and trauma, and friends don't stay long either. She's too weird, too broken. She has special abilities, she can talk to animals in her head and she can hear other humans' thoughts. Her life is one of misery and solitude, so she thinks about killing herself...until HE comes along.
Gabriel Kelly has long been on this earth. He has fought countless battles to save mortals and immortals alike. He is a legend among his kind, but feared. No friends to call his own and no mate to anchor him to reality. He makes the decision to end his wearisome existence until he smells....HER.
