I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. It's been years since the universe had seen the great Paladins of Voltron in battle. Years since those paladins have seen the lions. The universe was saved, so the lions left. Until now. The paladins are older now, and each have their own families. Hunk and Shay decided to settle down, and had a son named Erik. He looked a lot like Hunk, but was very Bulmeran. Shiro met an alien named Hel while on a special mission. The two fell in love and had a baby boy named Kade. Kade had black messy hair, and dark skin like Hel. Pidge didn't end up having any kids, but Matt on the other hand had a daughter named Evelyn. Evelyn was a lot like the siblings, with the same Gunderson charm. Lance settled down with Allura, and had a daughter named Isla. Isla looked very much like Allura, but with Lances brown hair and a strange condition with her skin tone. She ended up with a very light skin tone, due to a strange Altean occurrence. When no Altean father is present, the child takes the skin tone of the closest Altean male. Since that was Coran, Isla ended up with lighter skin, but Lance and Allura had no problems with it. Some time after Allura had passed away, Lance and Keith realized they had feelings for each other. They soon adopted a daughter named Abbey. Abbey had been through a lot regarding families, so she wasn't fond of siblings. Soon enough though, her and Isla became great friends. Even though Pidge had no children, all the kids thought of her as the cool aunt. They were all friends, and hung out quite often. This is the story of the Voltron Descendants. (This is a story me and my friends are writing. The new characters are OC's of ours, and we wanted to do something with them. In this universe, Allura made it past the final battle, but passed away when Isla was young.
