    Cass Avery thought she had seen everything. As the captain of her own investigative unit in the New Haven Police Force, she tended to encounter some pretty disturbing events. Brutal kidnappings. Gruesome murders. Typical wrongdoings of the New Haven underground criminal network.
    
    But even so, nothing could have prepared her for her encounter with Neil Logan, a mysterious victim of human experimentation by one of New Haven’s most notorious yet elusive criminals, Volkov. After a routine scouting mission gone wrong, Cass inadvertently stumbles upon Neil’s lab room and consequently, the horrific secrets of the scientist’s research.
    
    Realizing that Neil may be their only connection to Volkov, Cass convinces the NHPD to accept Neil as an asset to their investigation. Together, they attempt to unveil the full extent of Volkov’s research… and exactly what role Neil has to play in this twisted game.
