The Honest Liar
He just stood there. Looking at me. The way I had reacted had put him in a state of shock. "I... I um," Every word I had learned from pre-school to now had just flew out of my mind and left me speechless. "I should go." I could tell he could barely hear the hurtful words I had just chocked out of my mouth, but I didn't care. Not anymore. I walked away. Fighting back tears. I drove all the way to my house and when I got there I fell against the cold wall. What had just happened? All I knew is that I wasn't able to think straight. My mind was clouded with memories of him. I shook my head trying to forget everything that was involved with him. But I wasn't able to forget. These thoughts were a part of me now. He was a part of me.

The official spinoff for the original book Inlove with my Neighbor. Narrating the life of the kids who have grown to battle the life they are birth into. "Low-key worked when it was needed." His palm rest at the side of my face. His thumb caress my jawline "Not right now though. Not when a woman like you with such artistic precision deserves to be shown off." Heaving a sigh, I start creating the many scenarios in my head of how my family will take this news. Wondering if the love we have is able to withstand the many obstacle that await us once we're out there. "Such perfection. Body like an easel. Your face... the perfect canvas. Your mind? IT hold many characteristics that's waiting to come to life." "The perfect Art weh nuh amount a price can sumn up its worth. For that, yuh deserve to be shown off. Publicly. Respectfully." Dumbstruck by not only his words, I become dazed when he slowly open my legs wide. His head follow suit. And where his lips end up, will eventually pull an answer from me that I might regret. A regret that will be worth it in the end. Maybe?

Running from the gang
In life, we do things we regret, or that we wish we could wipe from our memory forever. At the age of 15, I didn't think I'd regret anything until I was an adult. I considered myself care free. I lived life one day at a time. Well, as much as a 15 year old can. But in life, there are also things that we can't change, that we can't forget. Circumstances change, events occur, and life as we know it is altered forever. For me, it was one night, that set in motion a series of events that I wouldn't be able to forget, even if I tried to. *************************** My life was spectacular, or cool, but I was content, and that's all that mattered. I wasn't overly popular, I wasn't the prettiest girl, and I didn't live in a mansion. I did have a great boyfriend, and amazing friends, and hell, I wasn't doing too bad in school either. But that all changed one night, as I was walking home at night. I witnessed a man murder someone he claimed was a snitch, something to do with a gang deal gone wrong. When I found my parents dead the next day in a serial killers wet dream, my naive self decided the best thing I could do, was run, giving up everything I loved. After 2 years, 3 dead members of the gang and a new school, I was found. When secrets are unraveled and with the FBI somehow involved, nothing is as it ever seemed.
