Content warning: Themes of -Suicide -Suicidal ideation -Self-injurious behavior [not self-harm] -Alcohol abuse -Body Horror These are the reasons why the story has been tagged as Mature. Please do not continue if these themes bother you. If you're struggling with suicidal thoughts, this book probably won't be good for you. •~ I've not much to say for this book other than... I'm sorry in advance, this is so dark. It's not really a vent piece or anything, just a dreadful idea I've had floating in my head. I had to get it outta there before it drove me mad. It's loosely inspired by two songs, both of which are included for your listening pleasure. Or displeasure. Depends on what kind of music you like, really. Enjoy! {There are two [so far] video edits on my Instagram that relate to/have the story of this book in them! Here are the links; if you're stuck on mobile, go to toxic.aep. Depending on when you see this, you might have to scroll quite far to find them, though I might make a Collection of edits relating to this particular AU. If you like video edits, you might wanna check those out after reading!}

He doesn't make good grades, mother would never approve of that. He drives a motorcycle, father would never approve of that. He hangs out with a stoner, my friends would never approve of that. And he smokes cigarettes, nobody would approve of that. He's so, unpredictable. There's no reason to admire him, he's a bad influence. Why can't I get him out of my head? It's the middle of senior year for Rouge The Bat. Everything is normal, but she wants a change of pace. She's always admired a hot-headed troublemaker named Shadow, but she knew her family and friends would never approve. Rouge has always pushed those thoughts of him to the back of her mind, until now. ::Cover art not made by me, credit goes to the artist RainbowSpine on Deviant Art:: Thank you for helping this story reach so many reads!!
