Secret Fish

Serinity Alcaster hides a secret from her country : she is a mermaid. Her family becomes one at age thirteen. She moved from the beaches of Gelt to the mainlands. Her family found it too suspicious that they lived close to the ocean. Mermaids are often hunted as a sport and their bodies are sold off in the black market. She has lost both family and friends to poachers who would do anything to kill her kind. Transferring to the second best school in the country, she is greeted by selfish students who only want to know her power. Camdon Westbay, the leader of them all, takes a special interest in Serenity. Although he injures her on her first day, she won't cave in to the likes of these snobbish humans.
