It has killed so many people. A lot of the people at Alex's high school have been getting it, and she will be next. If she doesn't do something.
One day at school, Alex finds out that almost everyone there has the disease, and has to escape. Zach, another one of the only ones who don't have the disease at their school, escapes with her.
Alex runs back to her house to find her dying mother. She gives Alex a map to find the cure for the disease.
Alex and Zach go on a trip to find the disease, and end up saving the world, but ruin their own lives?
