Stuart Pot is stuck on Plastic Beach with his captor, Murdoc Niccals. He's kept under poor conditions, and is forced to sing for the new album. His only company is a cyborg copy of his friend, who is cold and nothing like her. Murdoc struggles with inner loneliness, and either writes songs about it for the album, or takes it out on Stu.
Noodle and Russel are trying to cross the ocean to find them, in hopes of stopping whatever Murdoc is up to. They are hunted by pirates and demons, and never get much sleep.

This story is about a boy. A boy who got pushed away by his only friend, bullied and picked on by others. Stuart and Murdoc always stuck together as kids. They'd play pretend, go on adventures, do whatever kids do. When they got a little older they started a small band, just the two of them. And they kept their band to themselves. Murdoc played the bass and Stuart played Piano and sang. He even played the acoustic every now and then.
