Farrah Ahmed wishes for a cliché life, one in which she would have a pleasant childhood, become a rebellious teenage girl and graduate college with a huge smile on her face.

However, at 22, she's drowned in responsibilities that chip at her resilience everyday, trying to keep up with the bills for her mother's chemotherapy.

Her persistent job hunt lands her employment at Z.B company, the first good thing that's happened to her in more ways than one.

Zayyad Bilaal, her boss isn't what she expected. Call it her obsession with the cliché, she expected him to be some brutish, arrogant bigot that's out to get her life, but she's pleasantly surprised to see that the handsome Somali man is nothing of the sort.....to her, at least.

Like every cliché personal assistant in every stupid romance novel she's read, her heart goes against her will to fall in love with her boss.

Despite the loss of control of her own feelings, she revels in the fact that she's finally living a normal life without the evils of her past holding her down.

Its not too long before the antagonist of her story, in the form of one blast from the past comes barrelling into her life, and soon she's loosing grasp of her sanity as secrets she'd never imagine begin to unravel.

Just when life had started looking up for her, it swept her up in a flurry of heartache and vileness. Farrah is made to choose between Zayyad and conceding to her mother's wish, knowing well that her picking one would lead to the loss of the other.

Secrets unravel, facades are torn away, and nothing is ever what it seems to be in the life of Farrah Ahmed.

Muhammad thought of Madeenah as a child, younger than his baby sister, although way more mature. She seemed to have created a bond with his daughter and that was all that came to his mind about her. Not her smooth caramel skin, or her captivating light brown eyes and neither did her sweet voice do it for him. Madeenah thought of Ya Muhammad as an arrogant and stoic person but a really good father. In truth she was terrified of him. She hated the way he would look at her, as though she was less important than him. She hated the way he never spoke unless he needed to. She hated the way his voice washed over her, making her shiver. She hated his height and how it made him tower over her small frame. She hated him but she just couldn't stop thinking about him. So what happens when the two end up being brought together by an unusual arrangement . He's older, she's younger. He has a daughter and she has barely begun life. Will he let go of the past and try to find happiness or will he drag her down with him? --------------------------------------- "Let's get married." He says with such a straight face that I feel stupid as I chuckle. "What did you just say?" I ask in disbelief. "You heard me Madeenah." He says in a gravelly tone. "Why would you want to marry me?" I shake my head. "You don't like me." "I like you well enough to be married to you." His broad shoulders shrug in his familiar black suit. What is going on with him? And what have I gotten myself into?

His jawline is so sharp I'm sure it can cut through anything. "You hit me, spilling my coffee all over me," I say, pointing out the obvious. "So, what do you want me to do about it?" he asks, like he's done nothing wrong. "You're supposed to say sorry," I say in a duh tone. "And why should I?" "Because that's what people with manners do." "I know that, but you don't deserve a sorry from me." "Wow. And why is that?" "Because black bitches like you don't deserve it," he says with a sneer. "I have told you times without number to stop calling me that," I say, angry at his insults. "Make me," Ethan says, taking a dangerous step closer. I don't say anything but hiss and walk past him. He started walking toward her, causing her to instinctively take a few steps back. Before she knew it, she was pressed between the car and her husband, with no way to escape. Her breathing deepened as he gently held her chin, lifting it so that she had no choice but to meet his eyes. "Aap mujhe avoid kar rahi hain?" His voice was calm, but the question felt more like a statement. Her throat tightened, her voice stuck. She could only shake her head in denial. (Are you avoiding me?) "Nahi?" he repeated, slightly raising an eyebrow, as if daring her to lie. (No?) "Aisi... aisi koi baat nahi hai," she stammered, quickly ducking her head down as he loosened his grip on her chin. (It's...It's nothing like that) ------ Aisha grew up finding solace in her faith, which shaped her values and dreams of building a loving, faith-filled home. Since high school, she'd harbored a soft spot for Omar, a family friend whose ambition and drive set him on a different path. While Omar respected his parents' beliefs, his focus was on building a successful business, and over time, he distanced himself from religion, feeling isolated even within his close-knit family. When their families proposed marriage, Omar agreed out of respect, viewing it as a formality rather than a heartfelt commitment. A year into their marriage, Aisha found herself yearning for a connection that Omar, still focused on his ambitions, seemed unable to give. Yet, hints of change began to emerge, offering hope for a journey that might bring them closer, rooted in love and faith.
