This one mission wasn't the get in and get out situation, even if it was the plan. Not all is good once you are based on evil once spotted. Couldn't make it through the ground bridge in time? Bumblebee didn't. It was a one shot opportunity. Optimus was still the last one through the bridge like usual, only one was left but with sacrifice.
