Set Fire to the Moon

***This story has been a WIP for a while now. Many of the chapters have been previously published and then removed because they were rewritten multiple times. I do not know if I will be working on a more final version of it anytime soon.

"She watched silently as blood dripped off her father's lovely masterpiece. It wasn't his, but he was gone anyway, so it may as well have been. She looked around then, at anything else really. But everything was in utter chaos."

When Caitlynn opens the door of a random car in an attempt to escape her pursuers, she doesn't expect to make a friend. As she becomes a larger part of her newfound friend's life, she struggles to keep him out of hers. With trouble around every corner and a life shrouded in mystery it's no surprise her friends are increasingly interested in the one thing Caitlynn doesn't want them involved in. But can she keep it a secret as her lifelong companions continuously warn her of the dangers ahead? She's always been known to never back down, but sometimes that isn't enough.

Will she be able to protect her new friends and the old from the horrors that await?

Scarlett Peters doesn't quite know what to make of Caitlynn at first, but she's fairly certain she likes her. Especially if Caitlynn can help her split up her older brother and his awful girlfriend. However the more she spends time with her, the more odd things become. Nothing ever seems to make sense when it comes to this girl, which of course makes Scarlett even more curious. But Scarlett has no idea what she's getting herself into.
