During the 19th century, the cold war, a half a century long stare between the USSR and the US, determined the future of humanity. Luckily, WWIII never did happen, and the cold war ended.
But on September 26, 1983, a falsely read nuclear attack sent humanity down a much darker path, filled with chaos and collapse. Amelia, a medical school student, is plunged into the horrific and intense hellscape she will have to survive if she wants to make it back to civilization.

During New Year's eve in 2023, The US is transported back to December 6th 1941, This is what followed.. Inspired by United we stand, Divided we fall by USMCgamer101, This mostly takes a more 'realistic' approach to it, and a larger focus on the politics and fighting, and spying. There is no set main character for this book. I'm a military nerd, not a politician, if I get something with with how they handle politics and diplomacy please tell me in a constructive way! As with any WW2 book, There may be sensitive topics. I do not encourage Nazism or fascism. Viewer discretion is advised, Gore may be described during large battles.

The city was like a fortress, no one could enter and no one could leave...except the people executed who defied the government rules. January 1, 2015. The day that the world changed forever. Following the aftermath of a deadly nuclear war between the United States and China, an odd airborne pathogen is discovered. Scientist scramble to uncover what this virus does and find that it is a virus like no other. Once the virus starts to attack your body, you have exactly one year to live. A cure can't be found and the virus is spreading like wildfire. People are still recuperating from the nuclear war and find that there is nothing they can do to stop the virus. I was diagnosed with having the virus on January 1, 2015. My birthday was on the first and so I had just turned eighteen. What a birthday present, getting such a deadly disease, or could it somehow turn into a good thing? One year to live. I had the virus.Concluida
Ground Zero
A nuclear apocalypse after a terrible war renders the earth barren and void of life. A lone remnant of that war, a bio-metric wolf with metal bones beneath living flesh and skin wanders aimlessly, unsure of purpose or direction. The robotic parts are the only thing keeping it alive for its hundred year lifespan. One day it encounters something strange, something different; a human boy. The boy is unafraid of the wolf and is, in fact, excited to see it. He is looking for animals who his mother told him were ancient guardians of his people and a sign of the one thing they had been waiting so long for; life. But the boy is unaware that this wolf was an animal-like weapon used to hunt down and destroy his people and not a "real" animal at all. Together the boy and the wolf will discover what being alive truly means, and how to navigate through a world reborn in radioactive peril.Concluida
TROIKA - Countryhumans USSR x America
The world is electrified. Everything runs on electricity, from lighting to transport, life support to social media. Oblivion. Then, grid is down. And the world turns dark. And doesn't turn back on. America, the most forward thinking and innovative Western idealist, has answers. Her feminist values push her neck to neck with her male peers. She is one of the first to figure out that the grid will eventually fail, because of the vein of fossil fuel instability, trying to raise the alarm. When the grid does fail, she doesn't even get the satisfaction to say 'I told you so' before she is forced to collaborate in the TROIKA - a trio of biologist, engineer, and geophysicist that must find an immediate and then long-term solution to power the earth. Oh, and she has no choice. USSR, a cynic planner and injured war veteran, has questions. Torn between his eastern roots and western intelligence, he struggles to fit in, curb his aggression, and deal with personal loss. Instead of notifying the world of the impending grid failure, he builds a vast arsenal nuclear plants to power his land against the rules, and when the grid falls, his lights and machines keep running. When finally his arrest occurs, he finds himself in a unique situation, offered a position in the TROIKA - but if he declines, then a life of darkness behind bars awaits him. The goal of the TROIKA is simple: Be quick, be correct, be ready. It doesn't take long for USSR and America to loathe each other on principle, each with their own goals and ideals, clashing on everything from fashion to economics. Can they push away their pride and save the world, maybe even themselves? Or will their bitterness engulf everyone in thick, oily darkness forever? A single choice will ultimately decide their fate.
