Romance
Jessie is a freshman in high school, and she meets a bad boy senior named Luke. He's known for breaking hearts and playing with girls emotions, she was just heart broken by someone else through out the summer and hates guys like him. Through time they begin to get to know each other, as they have an escapade of meaningless sex, heart-break, and friend issues; they also deal with the very real things, such as depression, self-inflicted pain, family issues, and meetings with people from the past, we see how their relationship blossoms into something much more real and emotional than most teen couples today. Because to each other they show different sides that nobody else has seen.

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
