Embarrassment.

That’s all I was to them.

I let them in, regardless of who the media and population knew them as.

I let them in, and it all backfired.

Now?
Now I have nothing. No one. And all the blame returns to me.

It’s my fault, and I have to live with the consequences each and every day,
for the rest of my life.
