More Than That {Victuri} [Yuri On Ice]

Yuri Katsuki has spent his life relentlessly bullied by his peers at school and feels as if he is slowly suffocating and in intense pain, as if everyday can't end soon enough and finds himself inching closer and closer to his breaking point, until he finally reaches it; Yuri, in an effort to escape his merciless bullies, takes his own life, firmly believing all the while that he will be missed by no one.

Victor Nikiforov has spent his life relentlessly loved and envied by his peers at school, the world at his fingertips. Everyone praises him for being nothing short of perfect. He and his friends are popular and well-liked in school and easily skate through life. Having all their school's resources at their feet, Victor and his friends have many pastimes, but find their favorite is harassing their school's official out-of-the-closet outcast. Being one of the only openly gay people at school, Yuri is constantly scrutinized and bullied by Victor and his pals, Victor himself thinking of it as nothing more than fun and games, until it suddenly isn't. After hearing of Yuri's suicide, Victor doesn't know what to feel except for guilt for how he treated Yuri; he never expected for anything he and his pals did to go this far. Now, all Victor can think of is Yuri and how he must have felt right before he killed himself. Feeling excruciating guilt, Victor finds himself wishing he could take back every mean thing he did to Yuri. That he could have a second chance. That Yuri could have a second chance. But he knows that will never happen and that Yuri is gone for good.

But suddenly, Victor is granted the second chance he so desperately wished for, only it's in a way that he could have never seen coming. A way that should be impossible. Now given the task to save Yuri, Victor questions everything he thought he was sure of and how exactly Yuri fits into his life.
