Just a sweet little short story I had to write for my English class, basically about changing your future, by changing your past. James is a 22 year old college boy who thinks about his past mistakes abundantly, he has a pedantic mother who bothers him on basically every decision on his life. He always thinks how different his life would be if only he did the right things back in his high school days. If you had the opportunity to change your past would you? Might make a side story (20,000+ words) about a certain "later time to continue my 'mentoring'" and being "filled with confidence". If you know my other stories on this site you might know what I'm hinting at.

If you had the chance to go back in time and change the past of all your mistakes, would you do it? How far would you be willing to go to change yourself and not risk losing your family in the midst? Ever since the young female known as Rebecca had lost nearly everyone she ever cared about in the reality plain, mostly due to her personality and just not being good enough, she had started to focus on herself more and working towards finding out who she truly was. What she discovered was rather surprising, but in hindsight, it was not the case. She wanted to change herself, become someone better and leave behind the scarred, weakened body that she had now. However, the leader of the manor began to fear many things from risking the respect of her family to losing the one man that's always been by her side since the beginning, causing her to worry and overthink things to the point where her imagination goes a bit too far down a dark path that a certain creature of the past soon encourages her to follow. Sidenote: Hello there, everyone! I just wanted to say something real quick before you proceed with reading this short story of mine and that is that this one is rather personal, more than my other stories in a sense where it pertains to my current struggle in my outside life of identifying as a male rather than a female these days. "that's rich coming from a pretty boy" I narrow my eyes. "I'm not a pretty boy." He smirks standing from the desk and reaching forward twirling a piece of my hair between his fingers. "not in the traditional sense no...but you still bleed daddy's money" I reach up gripping his wrist, maybe harder then necessary; suddenly angry. "you don't know me Jasper, don't pretend you do" He sucks in a breath before leaning forward and putting his mouth next to my ear "I know you're so desperate for me, you can't fucking think straight" My breath catches and my eyes flick up meeting his not believing I heard what I did, but there's no denying it when he pushes me against his door and his lips meet my own hungry, angry, frustrated. ••• Jasper Collins is not expecting to ever step foot inside Balton's Boys School. A private behavioural school for those who can afford it, but after one too many expulsions and a scholarship opportunity Jasper finds himself stuck in a place filled with pretty boys who've done nothing worse then forget to shine their silver spoon. Beckett Chambers took on a mentorship position at Balton's to stay away from home. He could care less about status and social image he just wants to find a way out of Manning Heights and Balton's was supposed to be his safe haven until then. Looking back, I should have seen it coming. Paige didn’t like that I went so far away to university. But it was going to only be for two years. She'd join me after she did her two years at community college. I thought we could swing that no problem. We were solid. But she hated the distance. She hated not seeing me every day. She complained that I didn’t come home enough. She hated that for months on end, texting and phone calls were our only form of communication. It wasn’t enough. She'd ask about the girls on campus. She’d gotten it into her head that girls were always making a play for me. I laughed and told her, even if that were true, I’d never cheat on her. She didn't seem completely reassured by that. The bottom line is, Paige thought she was losing me. She wanted me home with her. But I could never imagine the level she'd sink to—the trap she’d set to make that happen.
