Her heart started beating rapidly. She felt all the colour drain from her face. Her hands started to shake so badly the letter slipped away and swirled down, landing on the ground a few seconds later. Tears formed in her eyes as she thought about the last sentences that were written in the mysterious letter: I'm waiting for you, my darling. In a few days, your blood, soul and body will finally be mine. ~*~ Elisabeth Alden, known as Elise to her few friends, hasn't had the best childhood. But how can you, if your parents disappear when you are at the age of five, and they are found three months later, with their hearts brutally ripped out? If you have an aunt who was supposed to take care of you, but instead spends all your money on alcohol? If you got the feeling someone is watching you twenty four seven, but you never caught a glimpse of your stalker? If every guy you ever liked, suddenly disappeared or has been found dead? If Elise thinks things can't get any worse, she starts to receive mysterious letters. Letters written on a pallid paper with dark red ink, threatening words that scare the hell out of her, and one black rose laying on top of every single one.
