Gone Like the Wind

Lilly Michaels is just a young girl when her father disappears. The only thing he leaves her with is a puppy.
Soon after, her mother disappears. Then her brother. Then her sister.
They all begin to vanish one by one.
Her puppy, named Charlie, her father's name, is the only companion she has to protect her from the forces of darkness that want to take her, too.
But then, populations of people begin to fade. After a while of watching people die, she soon finds that no one is left on Earth.
That's when she meets Daniel Jackson.
Maybe she's not the only one alone, after all.
