It would be absurd to even consider liking one of those guys as more than an acquaintance, and I knew for a fact I wouldn’t just flat out defy my cousin like that. Liam could trust me with his life. But as much as I knew that I was entirely able to stick to my commitment, there was a little voice in the back of my head telling me that this was nothing more than just an empty promise.
