Kyla never had a family. To most people, that'd seem upsetting. A girl about to turn 15 without a family. Surprisingly, it didn't bother Kyla. Calling the fanciest orphanage in America "home" was a gift from god. Living in luxury, enjoying upperclass orphans, having a room that was basically an entire house. Kyla was happily living without any parents or siblings, it all seemed like a dream come true.
Until she found out that she was getting adopted by a family named the Lautrec's. Kyla was waiting to see a large mansion in front of her with beautiful scenery, possibly a giant swimming pool, a stunning estate with butlers and maids tending to her request. But what she found..wasn't that. Now friends with her new siblings, they go to find out the secrets that live in the Lautrec house. And what they find is quite the surprise.

I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. This unexpected change in weather managed to turn my mood around badly. I can't deny that I love rain, but when you have no place to dry up in after enjoying the raindrops as they pelt down against your skin, you can't help but dread the rainy days. But, I guess I'm somewhat lucky, for the rain didn't decide to fall while I was making my way to 'The Heaven'. And, as soon as I came to a stop in front of the store's door, I felt the first drop of rain fall onto my skin, and for the first time in my life, I looked up and made a wish before opening the door and stepping into a store that could help in deciding my fate. ------------ Leila is a teenager who has nothing at all, yet alone have anything to lose. I was swept under the rug too. Critter Ridge Orphanage is an old building placed in the pines somewhere in the state of New Jersey, run by a kindly woman and housing a family of others like me. Boys and girls all different in their own aspects. They didn't like me and I didn't like them, which was fine. Miss Huld, the owner, seemed to like me enough and that was all I needed. Things changed, though. They found a dead body on our property and everyone scrambled to lock the doors and bar the windows. The normal kids at school all started to edge away from us, from me in particular. They called us witches and devil worshippers. They were scared they might be next. I couldn't keep my nose out of where it didn't belong and then everyone was involved in the mystery. There's ghosts around every corner in this house, and if we don't figure out what's wrong here, we might just become the next ones.Complete
